When it comes to stains great and small, PHJ Services would like to help you remove the stain.Working from the outside in to the stained area. Never scrub the carpet, or you risk ruining the carpet fibres or letting the spill soak through to the carpet pad.

Most people will have come across a hard stain or two in their lifetime and the immediate reaction is to use a chemical that is stored away under the kitchen sink or in laundry cupboard. Well PHJ Services are experts in Stain Removal and are willing to share a few pointers to save your carpet and money.

Red Wine

Red wine is one of the most common stains on carpet. Let’s face it most Australian men and women love a glass of red to wind down after a day or week at work. Sometimes accidents happen and the beloved glass of red can be spilt on the carpet .Instant reaction is to get a cloth and try and soak it up through the cloth. But the best way to prevent it from becoming a permanent stain is to put a small amount of soda water directly on top of the stain and then place a sorbent towel or white towel over the top and then sit a heavy item on top of the affected area. (This is not 100% guarantee that red wine stain will be removed for good but it will prevent it from becoming as visible)

Pet Urine / Faeces and Urine

As much as we love our pets they do tend to make their marks on our carpets. Well a simple solution to prevent the stain from becoming permanent is use warm water to break down the faeces and then use a sorbent towel to soak up as much of the faeces as you can. Then call PHJ Services to attempt to remove the stain from your carpet.

Blood

Blood is easiest to remove when it’s still wet. Quickly, use cold water to drench the area. Don’t use too much, or use hot water, as this can spread the stain deeper into the piles of your carpet. Just again make sure to test it first to make sure there will be no discolouration.

If you call PHJ Services then we will organize a technician to come to your premises and attempt to remove the stain to the best of our ability. PHJ Services are fully qualified in carpet restoration.

One of PHJ specialities is Rug Cleaning. Above is a picture taken in the factory that has had urine from a cat seep into the fibres. The Rug is placed in a pit filled with water and an anti-microbial solution that is used for decontamination and can guarantee 100% that odor and decontaminated fibres are restored back to the original condition.
