Our carpet cleaning service is unique on the Gold Coast, offering both the wet and dry cleaning alternatives for both commercial and domestic premises. True, we do recommend the hot water extraction method of cleaning but, for whatever reason, this may not be suitable to your circumstances. Isn’t it good to know that we offer you a choice! If you’re unsure, our staff will be happy to discuss the most suitable option with you. All our operators carry hand tools, for small/tight areas, and are some of the few carpet cleaners who use step tools.

You will need to leave a few hours before you walk on your carpets again in order to allow them to dry thoroughly. It is difficult to give an exact estimate, as drying time will vary considerably according to conditions.

We move whatever furniture one man is able to move e.g. lounges, beds on castors, bedside cabinets etc. In the event that a heavier piece of furniture needs to be moved we request that either you are available to assist or that you make arrangements for another person to assist.
Removing dry soils by vacuuming first is essential to the final finish. Depending on your needs, we are able to vacuum your carpets prior to cleaning, however, this will incur an additional charge. If you are happy to pay a little extra for this service, please just let us know before hand. We stand for quality!

You can rest assured that PHJ Services will take the utmost care of your possessions and that we are highly skilled and fully licensed to use Dupont Teflon applicators to protect your fabric furniture and carpet. Time Frame:

Protection should only be conducted after the carpet or upholstery has been cleaned. At that time the process only takes approximately 5 minutes per room or single seat lounge. The carpet and upholstery should not be used until protection has completely cured or dried. Drying can vary according to ventilation and humidity but usually takes three to four hours.

Pest Control

Pest control has come a long way from the days when every cupboard needed to be emptied and the family feared for their lives if they didn’t vacate for a week. Thank goodness for modern technology, which lets you leave your crystal goblets in place and to breathe easy. Tiny drops of gel are inserted in all strategic positions, sprays along skirting boards, and for the hard to get at cavities, roofing cavities, cupboard joins and other hidey holes, we use a penetrating fog treatment. Rodents are treated efficiently by inserting baits into rodent bait stations.
In terms of cost, termites are easily the worst pests on the Gold Coast. They are extremely prevalent throughout southeast Queensland and can cause tremendous structural damage to both commercial and residential buildings. Termite eradication and subsequent damage repairs can be an enormous budget strain. For that reason, PHJ recommends that every building should have some form of termite barrier or baiting system. The cost may initially appear high but when your home is the greatest value asset most people ever possess, it is cheap insurance and peace of mind. Prevention is far cheaper than the restoration of a termite infested structure.
PHJ offers pre-purchase inspections and termite inspections as well as treatment of termite colonies and the installation of termite baiting systems.

Ants can be difficult insects to control. Unless you are dealing with the brown ant variety, it is impossible to absolutely guarantee eradication.
Businesses or residences on canals or close to dense vegetation experience greater rodent problems than general suburban areas and the scope of treatment can vary considerably.

Our gentle dry cleaning service for curtains and vertical blinds, performed in your own home, is unique throughout the region, saving you the enormous waste of time taking down and replacing your window coverings. PHJ Services are skilled in both water extraction and dry cleaning methods of cleaning and will make a professional judgement on the most suitable choice depending on colour and fabric type. Tile & Grout

Employing state-of-the-art equipment, PHJ Services will thoroughly clean your tiles and grout - cleanly, efficiently and with no water damage – both inside and outside your premises. Our equipment draws water from your garden tap and heats the water on its way to the cleaning wand, enabling the technician to apply hot water under high pressure. The water is vacuumed to a waste tank almost simultaneously.

As a guide, it takes approximately two hours to clean 50 sq/m of tiles. As the water is vacuumed out almost as soon as it is applied, the surface will be dry and can be walked on within 30 minutes. It depends on how often the surfaces are used as to how often they will need cleaning, for example a kitchen will need to be cleaned more often compared to a lounge area. Shady areas are more likely to develop mould than sunny areas.
